У п’ятницю, 24 квітня 2026 року, студенти кафедри лінгвістики та перекладу мали чудову нагоду відвідати гостьову лекцію із носієм мови Марком Верзані — юристом та заступником виконавчого директора з правових питань компанії Docutribe, який проживає у Нью-Йорку, США. Особливістю заходу став його інтерактивний формат: зустріч була побудована у формі діалогу, під час якого студенти працювали в групах і намагалися розв’язати реальний юридичний кейс, запропонований гостем. Такий формат дав змогу учасникам аналізувати ситуацію з різних точок зору та спробувати себе в ролі учасників юридичного процесу.

Важливою складовою зустрічі стала практика англійської мови, яка, за словами Марка Верзані, є надзвичайно важливою для професійного становлення майбутніх фахівців і загалом для успішного вивчення іноземних мов. Студенти мали можливість удосконалити мовні навички в реальному комунікативному середовищі, що зробило захід особливо цінним і корисним.

Зустріч викликала значний інтерес серед студентів: вони активно долучалися до дискусій, ставили запитання та отримували змістовні відповіді від лектора. Захід став не лише пізнавальним, а й справді натхненним досвідом для всіх учасників.

“Getting to know Marc Verzani and some of the specifics of his profession was an incredible experience. Participating in the case study helped me unlock a whole new perspective on civil law: being a lawyer is far more challenging than any of us have ever imagined. “It was a really great opportunity to speak with Mark. He is such an intelligent and sensible person who is truly passionate about what he does. It was a great chance to speak with a native speaker and ask any questions. We had a very cool activity where we acted as lawyers and debated as if we were in a real courtroom. It was so interesting even though I felt a little nervous to speak because I was a bit confused during our discussion. But thank Mark so much for visiting us, I am really excited.”
